B&W Colourisation
Can be Applied to any Black and White Digital Image

Many of us have boxes of old photos stashed away in closets or attics, gathering dust and slowly fading away. While these printed photographs hold sentimental value, they are also susceptible to damage from elements like dust, light, and moisture. This is where digitizing your old photos comes in.

At DigiScan we provide a solution to the problem of preserving these irreplaceable memories. By converting your printed photographs into digital files, you can protect them from physical damage and ensure that they will be around for future generations to enjoy. Here are a few reasons why digitizing your old photos is so important:
First and foremost, digitizing your old photos can help to preserve the memories they contain. Printed photographs have a limited lifespan – over time, they can become faded, torn, or lost. By converting them into digital files, you can create high-quality, permanent copies that will last for many years to come. Digital photos can be easily stored on a computer or external hard drive, making them less susceptible to damage from the elements.
Additionally, digitizing your old photos allows you to easily share them with friends and family. Once your photos are in digital format, you can email them, post them on social media, or create online albums to share with loved ones near and far. This makes it easy to keep in touch with family members who may live far away or who you don’t see often. Sharing old photos can also be a great way to reminisce about past events and create new memories with loved ones.
At DigiScan we create high quality digital restorations from your photographs. We can even breathe colour back into your black and white images with 'Colourise', enabling you to see the world as your ancestors did.

We will scan your photos up to A4 size at 1200dpi on our flatbed film scanners, and your film/slides at 4000dpi on our dedicated film scanners. We will use our digital filters to apply colour to your black and white photos, and then make manual corrections where necessary. You can even give us your preferred colour scheme and we will create it for you. Prices for black and white colourisation can be found, Here.

We aim to scan and return your photos quickly, but please allow a few extra days for bulk orders or restoration services, if required. We always handle your property with great care, and strive to return it in the same condition it arrived.
